Broom Book & Candle began as a cozy virtual book club, a refuge for a group of bookish friends to stay connected during the pandemic of 2020 — gathering online monthly to discuss a new read (mostly speculative fiction with a feminist slant) and sending handmade collages and other papercrafts to each other the old-fashioned way. Members also created break-out writing groups to offer constructive critique, support and encouragement.

Now that the all-virtual days are over, Broom Book & Candle has expanded the concept to create a place for writers (and readers) to find community, resources and inspiration.
